About The San Francisco Dungeon
The San Francisco Dungeon condenses 200 years of San Francisco's history into an exciting 60-minute adventure. Bringing together an amazing cast of theatrical actors, the unique and exciting walkthrough experience lets audiences see, hear, touch, smell, and feel the action. The hilarious, fun, and sometimes scary performances wow audiences and the cast alike, and here's why: full-on 360-degree sets with gripping storytelling, 9 interactive shows, 20 live actors, and 200 years of history with state-of-the-art theming and special effects and cutting-edge storytelling. The black comedy of attractions, performances are full of dark, atmospheric humor that offer onlookers a thrill-filled journey through San Francisco’s murky past. After 60 minutes, spectators leave the show having experienced laughs, scares, theatre, shocks, special effects, characters, jokes, mazes, and storytelling.
Lest you get swept up in the past and end up in a time before your ride home was built, one of the dungeon's residents is always there to lead the way through the experience. Contra Costa Times praised the "terrific sets and costumes" and "super fun local actors," who, as SFGate put it, "bring a Broadway-esque level of enthusiasm to their performance."
