During the introduction to beekeeping class, students learn the basics of backyard beekeeping, through hands-on instruction from a local, experienced beekeeper. They'll suit up and explore the urban apiary, while the tour educates on the construction and inner workings of a beehive, as well as viewing a hive. After a Q&A session and honey and pollen tasting, customers take a private tour of San Francisco's only Meadery, a honeywine production facility, while tasting locally produced Mead.
