San Gennaro Feast–Little Italy
Live entertainment, amusement rides, and delicious Italian food mark the beginning of the annual San Gennaro Feast–Little Italy, which celebrates Italian heritage and the festival’s saintly namesake. During each of the feast’s five days, vendors will serve a wide range of delicious foods—from Italian sausage and stuffed artichoke to pizza and cheesecake—complimented with drinks from the Peroni beer and wine garden. Live musical acts include Rat Pack impersonators, a tribute to Mario Lanza, and authentic Neapolitan music. All the while, Italian folk songs wander from the instruments of strolling musicians and more than 60 amusement rides light up the night skies while sending guests or thrill-seeking hunks of biscotti whistling through space. This year’s festival also includes the new 100-foot vertigo ride, as well as a fireworks display on Sunday night at 9 p.m. For pint-size attendees, parents can also take advantage of the festival’s pony rides and petting zoo.
