"Celebrating 25 years of music and friends" -- that's how the San José Chamber Orchestra is billing its Happy Anniversary! concert at Trianon Theatre. From a new piece by Pablo Furman featuring the New York Phil's Sherry Sylar on oboe to a premiere by Brent Heisinger featuring world percussionist royal hartigan and bassist Wes Brown, it's certain to be a fittingly festive affair. But perhaps most appropriate for the occasion is the "Anniversary Project" curated by composer and San Jose State University alum Michael Touchi, which incorporates snippets of some 40 works that have been premiered by SJCO over the years.
This show’s running time is approximately two hours.
This show is recommended for those age 6 or older, who can sit still for at least 30 minutes at a time.
