Until mankind first stepped outside in 1934, nature was thought to be a fanciful myth, like yogurt or the clutch hitter. Spend a few hours frolicking through the fresh air of truth with today's Groupon: for $10, you get a sandboard rental and full-day access to Sand Master Park in Florence (a value of up to $25, depending on the type of board rented). Sandboarding delivers gravity-powered glee using moves and materials similar to those of snowboarding, but without any dependence on frosty flakes. Have the board of your choice freshly de-frictioned with a complimentary board wax, then set out with your 24-hour park pass to explore the 40 acres of private Sand Master Park territory or the surrounding public dunes, where sandmen are often seen cruising on tandem bicycles. Board-rental options at Sand Master Park range from the beginner-friendly Ocean Culture Freecarve to a trio of Ror boards designed for the sandy antics of more advanced riders. Boogie boards and sand sleds are also available. Like Christmas sweaters, this Groupon can't be used in the months of January, February, or June through August.

Sand Master Park
Some kids eventually outgrow their sandbox. Others just find more sand. Lots and lots of sand. At Sand Master Park, that natural material covers 40 acres, where it takes the form of sculpted dunes and rolling slopes ideal for sand-boarding: a sport similar to snowboarding, just with more agreeable weather conditions. Here, instructors teach lessons on how to glide over sand and eventually execute tricks on jump rails and slides. The sandy grounds also allow for other activities, including skim-boarding, sand sculpting, and dune buggies.
