What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Sand & Steel’s specialty is personal training through our Get Steel Strong System: a system that leverages InBody assessments, fitness benchmarks, nutrition compliance, and functional strength training movements. We also offer CrossFit, core training utilizing TRX equipment, and group exercise.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
Every workout at Sand & Steel is different, and we employ a battery of different equipment to keep things new. Workouts will vary with intensity and heart rate. We introduce new complexity and progressions to workouts as you improve.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
For Paul, the reason he formed Sand & Steel was to help other people gain the technical knowledge and tools to lose weight. For Dawn, it is about empowering women to be strong and free of pain caused by diseases like fibromyalgia.
What do you love most about your job?
We like training clients and enjoy developing a program with them to empower them to succeed. What I like most of all is seeing reach their goals: doing their first pull up, fitting into a size zero, losing 100 pounds, whatever. Seeing my clients happy drives me to improve my training techniques.
