Relive the golden age of Vegas entertainment, when lounge acts sang about romantic rendezvous and shoddy WiFi connections. Today's deal gets you one VIP ticket to see Sandy Hackett's Rat Pack Show at the Sahara for $30 (a $70 value). Call ahead to reserve tickets for your show and then pick them up at the hotel.
The brainchild of Buddy Hackett-child Sandy Hackett and his wife, the Rat Pack Show is a stylishly nostalgic look back at vintage Vegas's innest of in crowds. The show begins with God—who, as described in the Bible, sounds suspiciously like Buddy Hackett—allowing Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and Joey Bishop to return to Earth for one last hurrah. The stellar cast captures the camaraderie of the kings of cool with dapper duds, corny jokes, and lots of music, complete with a Vegas-style big band. But this being the Rat Pack, expect some unscripted surprises and a healthy dose of off-color humor.
- Produced by the younger Hackett, a powerhouse veteran writer, producer and film and TV actor, and his wife, producer/singer/songwriter Lisa Dawn Miller, the show offers a fresh and exciting take on the comedic and musical legacy of the Rat Pack. – VegasNews
- …this show is incredibly delightful and nearly flawless. It’s really no wonder as this show has been a near decade long labor of love for Sandy Hackett and his lovely and talented bride, Lisa Dawn Miller…who together have brought a special slice of the vintage Vegas show business back to life with authenticity, successfully capturing not only the style and grace of the music performed by the Rat Pack (with a focus on the Miller penned masterpieces of music) but also the corny wit and camaraderie of unconventional mid-century friendships. –Photo Diva, Living Las Vegas
- All in all, The Rat Pack Show is a great night’s entertainment from the good ol’ days. It was fun to wax nostalgic and once again experience an era of superstar singers and comics before the stages of the Strip became inundated with acrobatics, aerialists and gymnasts. It also was wonderful to remember songs that had great lyrics and music you could hear and sing along. – Robin Leach, Luxe Life
