Featuring professional dancers from across the region, along with company soloists and students from several South Bay schools, this full-length, traditional version of Tchaikovsky's much-loved classic follows young Clara, who dreams that the toy nutcracker she received for Christmas has come to life. Together, they journey on a magical adventure through an icy forest to the enchanting Kingdom of Sweets. Aidan DeYoung, who's performed with the Smuin and Post Ballets, plays the Cavalier, partnering with the San Francisco Opera Ballet's Ilana Jones as the Sugar Plum Fairy.
