About Sarah Tallman Design
In some ways, Sarah Tallman's career has come full circle. She began working in a flower shop in her Connecticut hometown at the age of 15, and, after graduating from college, moved to Manhattan to follow her design dreams. Tallman transitioned seamlessly into the beauty industry, where her eye for aesthetics and nose for botanicals helped her develop fragrances and skincare products for companies such as Estée Lauder, Prada, and Ralph Lauren. She further trained her olfactory capabilities, learning from experts how to detect subtle notes and aromas, and eventually developed a scent named Grove Signature, a blend of orange flower, bay rum, and condensed autographs. Tallman then went on to open Grove, New York to fuse her artistic talents into one lifestyle brand.
Tallman now finds herself once again among the quiet, colorful company of flowers at Sarah Tallman Design, her interior- and floral-design firm. In addition to styling locales including an urban loft and a waterfront home on Martha's Vineyard, Tallman's clean, tailored designs have graced the pages of Redbook with a style she describes as “old school Hamptons meets old school Hollywood."
