Inaugural 75- or 190-mile relay race through scenic Puget Sound

About This Deal

Running was popular in Europe long before it caught on in America, which is why most races are measured in kilometers and why most of the Pilgrims were eaten by bears. Race to the top of the food chain with this voucher.

Choose from Four Options

  • $359 for entry to the one-day relay race for a team of 6 (an $850 value)
  • $359 for entry to the one-day relay race for a team of 12 (an $850 value)
  • $449 for entry to the two-day relay race for a team of 6 (a $1,200 value)
  • $449 for entry to the two-day relay race for a team of 12 (a $1,200 value)

The one-day race take place on Saturday, August 10, and spans 75 miles from Shelton to Port Townsend, whereas the two-day race starts on Friday, August 9, and spans 190 miles from Mount Rainer to Port Townsend. At the finish line, runners will be met with food vendors, a beer garden, and a live band for a post-race celebration.

Given the extreme distance of the race, there are several rules and stipulations to know. For instance, designated sleep areas will be marked along the route and racers must provide their own large vehicles—personal or rental—for team transportation along the route. See the FAQ here for more info.

About Sasquatch Relay

Typically, when people have friends or family in town, they show off their city by cramming in as many attractions and sights as possible. The four brothers behind the Sasquatch Relay take that approach to its logical extreme, orchestrating 75- and 190-mile relay races that spotlight their native region of Puget Sound. The trek leads teams of 6 or 12 in a one- or two-day journey through the shadows of Mount Rainier and the Northwest's sea of evergreens. At a party at the finish line, runners celebrate and share their surprise over how much shorter Sasquatch looks in person.
