At Savoy Tavern, Chef Kevin Liebov has created a menu of upscale American dishes influenced by the flavors of Europe. His dishes often look more like sculptures than meals—for instance, his ahi tuna poke resembles a butterfly as gaufrette chips delicately stick out of a medallion of ahi tuna, avocado, jalapenos, cucumber, and wakame. He wraps linguine noodles around clams and braises ribs in root beer, artfully flanking entrees with asparagus, crispy onion rings, and mango slices. During brunchtime hours, he whips up eggs benedicts and breakfast burittos on the main floor of the two-story tavern. Upstairs, a cozy lounge and dining room host up to 20 people for private parties and covert arm-wrestling championships. And on select nights, musicians take to the stage as guests relax with a beer.
