Q:

I have about 35 mini DVs to convert. I understand the $300 groupon does not apply with a bulk order discount. What is the bulk order discount? Could I use the group in for half the videos and get a bulk discount for the others? Also, how long would this take?

Lisa F.  asked on  Nov 21, 2012

A:

Hi Lisa! The bulk discount refers to our discounted prepay packages for photography orders, it wouldn't apply to your order. We would be able to offer you an additional discount on top of your Groupon. Please contact us at support@scandigital.com with the details for your personalized discount. Our current turnaround for video tape orders is about 5 weeks.

Q:

I find your infm a bit confusing. I have many super 8 mm reels to transfer to dvd. First, how many super 8 mm reels should I submit for the $300 groupon? Secondly, Will the reels take up the full dvd; if not can you add more reels at a future date so that I don't have partially filled dvd's.

Karen D.  asked on  Nov 20, 2012

A:

Hi Karen! I'm sorry for the confusion. Our pricing is based on the footage, not the reel. Reels can range from inch threes containing 50 feet up to as large as 11 inches containing 1600 feet of film. The $300 Groupon can cover 1071 feet of film with our premium transfer. With the premium transfer, we transfer reel to reel film for $.28 per foot. You will receive viewable only DVDs which you can watch on your DVD player or computer. You can estimate your footage based upon the diameter of the reel: 3 inch reel = 50 feet 4 inch reel = 100 feet 5 inch reel = 200 feet 6 inch reel = 300 feet 7 inch reel = 400 feet For more information, you can view our Film and Video pricing page at: https://www.scandigital.com/film_video_pricing.php. A DVD will fit about 1600 feet of film. Unfortunately, you will not be able to add footage to a DVD once it's been finalized and burned. Please feel free to contact us directly at support@scandigital.com with any further questions.

How are the digitized images labeled on the DVD?

Hi Lisa! Thanks for your interest! The images have standard naming that includes your name, the group title (if applicable) and the numerical sequence.
