Q:

Can I send in a 8mm film to be put on CD and what is this cost

charles c.  asked on  Jun 17, 2013

A:

Hi Charles, We transfer 8mm film to DVD, flash drive or hard drive. 8mm films are charged $0.28/foot to transfer to DVD. If you're looking to edit your footage in any way, I'd recommend our expert transfer option which will provide you with .avi video files to use on your computer, for only $0.10 more per foot. You will need to purchase an external hard drive from us, or provide an external USB hard drive so we can load your high quality .avi video files. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly by email (support@scandigital.com) or by phone (888.333.2808).

Q:

I have several VHS tapes & 8mm tapes as well as some slides that I would like to convert to DVD. I'm confused about what the $250 offer provides! If I purchase the $250 option & the rule above says limit 1per order, does that mean I have to give you everything at one time that may total about $250? Would it be better for me to purchase the $100 option which allows for 3 per household? And with the $100 option, what is the limit 3 per visit referring to, tapes or cassettes?

Suzanne P.  asked on  Jun 17, 2013

A:

Suzanne - 3 per visit means that you can only use 3 of the $100 groupons under your account at ScanDigital.com. Those can be applied to a single order or multiple orders. You can send all of your tapes and slides together and apply either 1 $250 voucher to the order or up to 3 of the $100 vouchers. We do have a strict limit of $300 of vouchers total per customer/household. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us here on the the discussion boards, directly by email (support@scandigital.com) or by phone (888.333.2808) Monday-Friday 8-6 and Saturday 10-5 Pacific time. Q:

Approximately how many pictures can be scanned with the $250 option?

Arlene I.  asked on  Jun 16, 2013

A:

Hi Arlene, We charge $0.48 to scan a picture that is 8x10 or smaller at our normal resolution. For $250, you are able to scan 520 printed pictures/photos. If you're interested in using your digital images to create enlarged prints in the future, you may want to consider our higher resolution option for an additional $0.20 charge/scan. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly by email (support@scandigital.com) or by phone (888-333-2808) Monday-Friday 8-6 or Saturday 10-5.
