Q:

I want to transfer 3 vhs to dvd and slides to dvd does each vhs go on one disc and then slides go on a separate disc?

Laura B.  asked on  Jun 19, 2013

Hi Laura, Thank you for your interest in our services. Yes, our video transfer system is setup as a one-to-one process which means each VHS tape will be transferred to its own DVD disc to be viewed in your DVD player. Q:

What about photo albums? Boxes in chronoligical order with dividers including titles and dates for groupings of pictures? Will you scan into files accordingly with groupon?

Julie P.  asked on  Jun 19, 2013

A:

Hi Julie, Thank you for your interest in our services. We do our best to match the physical organization of your materials when creating digital copies. If your pictures are organized in boxes, folders, or groups, we will create folders to match that. We use any titles or labels that we see on your physical groups when titling the folders for your digital images. I hope that helps to answer your question but if you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us directly by email (support@scandigital.com) or by phone (888.333.2808).

Q:

Does this deal include pictures that are in photo albums that you will remove and replace the pictures? And if they are in boxes with the same type of date/title cards grouping the pictures as an album that you will also build files to match those boxes/separaters?

Julie P.  asked on  Jun 19, 2013

A:

Hi Julie, Thank you for your interest. This deal can be used for any of our services, including photo album scanning. We will remove each photo from the album, scan it, and replace it. If you send photos in albums, we charge $0.68 per photo to scan, compared to our $0.48 per photo price if your photos are sent loose. We will create a folder to separate the digital files of each album that is scanned. If your materials are organized beyond that and you'd like us to digitally organize in the same manner, please include instructions to let us know. We do our best to match the physical organization of your materials when creating digital files. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us directly by email (support@scandigital.com) or by phone (888.333.2808).

Q:

If I turned in (5) VCR tapes would I receive back 5 DVDs or would they be on one DVD?

SUsan c.  asked on  Jun 18, 2013

A:

Hi Susan, Thank you for your interest in our video transfer services. As long as each tape does not exceed the 5 hour limit, you will receive 5 DVDs back with your original video tapes. Our system is setup as a one-to-one transfer process, meaning each tape is transferred to its own DVD. If your tape is longer than 2 hours, it will require multiple DVD disks and be charged as multiple tape transfers. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly by email (support@scandigital.com) or by phone (888.333.2808).

Q:

So if I chose the bulk order option (1k photos), I get 10 cents off the per price image charge of 38/58 cents per image w/ the 100 groupon bulk order option? So the price per image would be 28/48 cents per image with the 100 deal?

WashingtonDC  asked on  Jun 17, 2013

A:

Hi, If you choose the bulk order option, you will be paying $380 or $580 (depending on scan resolution) to scan 1,000 photos. You may use a $100 groupon to bring the total billed to your credit card down to $280 or $480. This would mean that you could scan 1,000 photos for $309 ($280 + $29 for the Groupon), or just under $0.31 per photo for the first 1,000. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly by email (support@scandigital.com) or by phone (888.333.2808).

Q:

Even though some quantities are listed with the offer I'm still unclear of exactly how many photos, VHS, slides are you allowed to send? If possible I'd like a breakdown of each. Thanks

melissa s.  asked on  Jun 17, 2013

A:

Hi Melissa, Sure that is not a problem. If you purchase a $100 Groupon, you may use it for any one of the following: roughly 200 photos, 175 negatives, 150 slides, six 3-inch 8mm film reels, or five videocassettes. If you purchase a $250 Groupon, you may use it for any one of the following: roughly 520 photos, 430 negatives, 365 slides, 17 3-inch 8mm film reels, or twelve videocassettes. You can also mix and match any of the materials types that we can digitize, as you desire. You are basically purchasing a voucher that you can use for any of our services, and you would follow the prices we display on our website. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly by email (support@scandigital.com) or by phone (888.333.2808).
