Hi Tim! Yes, you're welcome to use Groupon towards any of our services. Q:

I have a lot of original pictures that I'd like converted to digital. How can I ensure that my original photos will be safe? Will I get all of the originals back?

Kelley W.  asked on  Jun 19, 2013

A:

Hi Kelley, Thank you for your interest in our scanning services. The safety and security of your materials is very important to us and is a concern shared by most of our customers. I recommend using one of the UPS options we offer on our order form. The $10 UPS ground option is very popular because it provides you with a trackable UPS label to use. We've partnered with UPS to ensure our customers' materials are safely delivered to our headquarters in Los Angeles, CA. While here in our facility, your materials will be stored in a bin labeled with your name, order # and date of arrival. Everything is safely stored here until your order is complete, and everything is returned (including your original materials and digital copies). If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us directly by email (support@scandigital.com) or by phone (888.333.2808).

Q:

I have an MP3 tape recording of an interview my brother did with my father. Can you convert that? Patricia P

Patricia P.  asked on  Jun 19, 2013

A:

Hello Patricia, thank you very much for your interest in our Groupon. Unfortunately, we do not handle any already digital media. However, you should be able to burn that onto a disc using your own computer, since it's already in a digital format. Hope this helps. Please feel free to contact us with any further questions.

Q:

Fine print indicates "Not valid for hard drives, USB drives, memory boxes or digital photo frames.". Does that mean I won't be able to make copies/backups of the digital files I receive?

T L.  asked on  Jun 18, 2013

A:

Hello TL., you can still opt for the Expert transfer and send in your own hard drive or purchase one from us, but you cannot pay for one of our devices using Groupon credit. Hope this helps. If you have anymore questions, please feel free to send an email to support@scandigital.com or call us at 888.333.2808.

Q:

How many pictures can be converted in the $250 option (for $75)? Am I allowed to use one package for photos and another for VHS and camcorder tapes?

Robin B.  asked on  Jun 18, 2013

A:

Hi Robin, Thank you for your interest in our photo scanning services. We charge $0.48 to scan a photo at our standard resolution, or $0.68 to scan at our higher resolution. If you plan to use your digital images to create enlarged prints, I'd recommend paying the $0.20 per image upgrade for the higher resolution digital files. You can have 520 photos scanned at normal resolution or 367 photos scanned at our higher resolution, using the $250 option. We have a limit of $300 in Groupon usage per customer, but you are more than welcome to purchase 3 $100 Groupons to use together and send photos and videos in the same order. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly by email (support@scandigital.com) or by phone (888.333.2808).

Q:

How many slides can we send with the $75.oo special?

Paula O.  asked on  Jun 18, 2013

Hi Paula, We scan 35mm slides to digital images for $0.68 each, at our normal resolution (2000 DPI). If you're interested in higher quality files, or if you plan to use your digital images to create enlarged prints, I'd recommend our higher resolution (4000 DPI) for only $0.20 more per image. Our $75 option will provide you with $250 to use towards our services. You can scan 367 35mm slides at our normal resolution or 284 35mm slides at our higher resolution. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly by email (support@scandigital.com) or by phone (888.333.2808).
