Q:

In which format the digital copies of scanned photos will be provided?

Samir P.  asked on  May 9, 2013

A:

Hi Samir. When scanning photos, we normally create jpeg files. If you plan on editing your images after receiving them, we also offer the creation of tiff files. Photo are scanned at $0.48/photo at 300 dpi and $0.68/photo at 600dpi. If you would like both jpeg and tiff files created for you, the cost would be $0.68/photo at 300dpi and $0.88/photo at 600dpi. I hope this helps. Please feel free to reach out to us at 888-333-2808 or email us at support@scandigital.com if you have questions. Thank You! - Jason

Q:

I've got a small stack of old pictures that have small amounts of black marker on them. Can you fix anything like that? Carl

Carl C.  asked on  May 8, 2013

A:

Hey Carl. We are definitely able to assist with getting rid of those marks. When our techs digitize your photos, they will be able to do touch ups on the digitized images to remove those black marks. The cost would range from $5 - $10 per image. The price is dependent on how much work and time each image requires. If you have questions about this service or any other that we provide, please do not hesitate to contact us at 888-333-2808 or email us at support@scandigital.com. Thank You! - Jason

Q:

With 5 videocasettes, is there a limit on hours of recording on each videocasette?

Moez V.  asked on  May 6, 2013

A:

Hi Moez. Each DVD can record up to 2 hours of footage from a video cassette. Each two hour block of tape or fraction thereof will be charged at 19.95 for conversion to DVD. For example, if a tape is 3 hours long, the cost to digitize it to DVD would be 39.90. The Groupon you purchase can be used to cover any of these charges and the remaining balance to be paid can be charged to a credit card. Please refer to our pricing page http://www.scandigital.com/film-and-video-pricing.php for more information about our video tape pricing.
