Q:

How many dvs would the groupon cover? Also where are you located? I don't want to send my dvs through the mail! Thanks!

Danielle S.  asked on  Nov 24, 2012

A:

Hey Danielle! Depending on the purchase option you select, you will have either $100 or $300 value for digitization services to be redeemed on this business' website. Please note, to take advantage of this deal, you would need to mail your materials to the business.

For your reference: with $100 worth of services, you can digitize roughly 200 photos, 175 negatives, 150 slides, six 3-inch 8mm film reels, or five videocassettes.

Q:

I've got a lot of 35mm slides that I would like digitized. However, some of the slides are damaged either by warping of the cardboard holder or by deposits of soot on the negative due to a house fire. Can these slides be digitized as well? I will clean the slides that are soot covered; I can't do anything about the warped cardboard.

Ray D.  asked on  Nov 23, 2012

A:

Ray - Without seeing the slides, it is hard for me to say for sure, but I can tell you that we'll do everything in our power to convert them for you. We may end up needing to transfer the warped slides on a flat-bed scanner which would result in a bit of an upcharge, but we could likely obtain a reasonable scan off of these by using a glass plate to flatten them and scan through the glass. I hope this helps answer you question. I'd encourage you to send them in and if you have any special instructions or comments, please let us know. Any cleaning you can do of the slides would be helpful, but we'll clean them with compressed air too.
