Q:

I have about 700 slides. What would that cost with this deal?

Joseph J.  asked on  Oct 26, 2012

A:

Please see pricing estimates listed here.

Annette B.  from  Self  replied on  Oct 26, 2012

A:

Hi Joseph! We scan 35mm slides for $.68 per slide at 2000 dpi or for $.88 per slide at 4000 dpi. Seven hundred 35mm slides at normal quality would come out to $476.

Q:

Some of my VHS tapes might only have 30 minutes of footage on them. Does this count as a full tape? And what about a tape that might have been recorded over a movie so I've ended up with family footage and then a blip of a movie? Is that edited out?

Jeannette G.  asked on  Oct 26, 2012

A:

VHS tapes are determined by the quantity of tapes, and not the length of footage. For special editing requests, please contact the business directly.

Annette B.  from  Self  replied on  Oct 26, 2012

A:

Hi Jeannette! If your tape is less than two hours, it will be billed at $19.95 with our premium transfer. Unfortunately, we do not edit out any materials. If you would like to edit your footage, we recommend the expert transfer. With the expert transfer, tapes that are two hours or less are transferred for $29.95. Tapes that are more than two hours are transferred at $29.95 for every two hours. In addition to standard DVDs, an AVI file will be created and will be uploaded onto an external hard drive, which you may provide or purchase from us for $119.95. We require 30GB of free space for every 2 hour tape. The AVI file is ready to edit and is compatible with any software and is compatible with PC or Mac. For more information you can view our Film and Video pricing page at: https://www.scandigital.com/film_video_pricing.php.
