Q:

Hello, I have about 1200 2x2 slides. How much per slide to put on DVD. Trying to figure out what groupon to buy to get them all converted at best price possible. Thank you. Glenda

Glenda M.  asked on  Nov 25, 2012

A:

Glenda - you'll want to purchase the $300 groupon for these slides. This is a fairly large order, so please contact our customer service at info@scandigital.com for bulk pricing on the overage amount. Please reference this discussion board post. Thanks for your interest and please let us know if you have additional questions!

Q:

Ooops, meant 5 VCR tapes for $100 service level, not 6 VCR tapes.

A:

Thanks for catching that David - just let me know if you have any other questions once you read my first response. I want to be sure you understand how everything works with our services!

Q:

I have many VCR tapes, some of which were recorded in the EP mode, some LP, some SP. Quite possible some are a mixture of all 3 modes. Will the 6 VHS tapes for $100 be adjusted if they are in the EP (6 hour) mode?

david v.  asked on  Nov 24, 2012

A:

David - We bill in 2 hour increments, so the tapes that are 6 hours would count as 3 video tape transfers. The $100 option covers 5 video tape transfers and the $300 option covers 15 video tape transfers. If you know many of your tapes are over 2 hours, the $300 option may be the way to go. Thanks for your interest and please let us know if you have additional questions!

Q:

Hi, I have 2 mini DV tapes to transfer to disc, but there is a part of the taping that is out of chronology -- can that be fixed on the disc (I think what happened is we finished a whole tape on our wedding and then put the end of wedding/reception on the middle of a second tape that had room). Can that be put in the correct order on the cd? Also, can the cd be divided at all into 3 different "scenes" (pre-wedding, ceremony, and reception)? Thanks for your time!

donna d.  asked on  Nov 23, 2012

A:

Donna - We can transfer the MiniDV tapes for you, but we do not provide editing services to change the "scenes". In order to do this, I would recommend that when you place the order select to have the files on a hard drive. We will provide digital files for you to then edit on your own. Thanks for you interest in our offer and please let us know if you have other questions. Happy Holidays!

Q:

Hi, I have original tapes from a DVR (or digital videos - those small video tapes, under half the size of regular VHS tapes) from a friend's professional digital video camera recording of my wedding (2-3 hours total). Can the $100 be used towards these types of video tapes or only for VHS tapes? Thanks and happy Thanksgiving!

donna d.  asked on  Nov 23, 2012

A:

Donna - We process all formats of consumer video tape, but not all formats of professional video tape - so we would need to find out more precisely what format of tapes you have. If we can process them, you can definitely use the $100 credit towards these tapes. Thanks for you interest in our offer and please let us know if you have other questions. Happy Holidays!

Q:

So do I understand this correctly ...the $300 order ...how many photos can I send in? Can I specify which groups go on which CDs?

Amy H.  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Amy - the $300 option will cover about 600 photos. You can organize them into groups and we'll mirror that on the digital files we provide back on CD/DVD. Happy Thanksgiving and please let us know if you have any other questions!
