Q:

We have 5" 8mm videos to transfer. How much would these cost? We have 12 of them. Kathleen

Kathleen F.  asked on  Nov 24, 2012

A:

Kathleen - Each of these reels holds about 200 feet of film, so you have approximately 2400 feet of film (assuming they're full). The total cost to transfer these would be just under $800. I would recommend that you purchase a $300 groupon to reduce the cost of this order to under $500. I hope this helps and please let us know if you have additional questions!

Q:

We have a collection of about 2,000 slides. We would like to have these transfered to DVD. How many 100 and 300 groupons could we purchase?

judy a.  asked on  Nov 24, 2012

A:

Judy - The best pricing for you is going to be to divide these slides into two orders with 1,000 slides. We allow a single $100 groupon to be applied to each bulk order - so by dividing this into two order you can essentially double up on the groupon discount and bulk discount on both orders. If you purchase two groupons and need help setting this up, please contact our customer service team at info@scandigital.com and reference this discussion board post. Thanks for your interest in our offer and please let us know if you have other questions. Happy Holidays!

Diane S.  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Hi Diane - If you'd like to edit your footage after transfer, you should select the hard drive option and we'll provide you with video files to use on your computer. With our premium transfer, you'll receive mpeg files, and with our expert transfer you'll receive avi files. If you have any questions, please feel free to post on these boards or email us. Happy Thanksgiving!

Q:

We have several 50 rolls of 8mm tapes from 40 yrs ago of our kids. Could that be put on a DVD? If so, what would it cost for about 10 rolls? Thanks in advance.

patsy r.  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Patsy - yes, these materials can definitely be put on DVD. Unfortunately, I would need more specifics about the size of the rolls to give you a cost estimate. I'd recommend you contact us at info@scandigital.com and we can provide better information. Happy Thanksgiving and please let us know if you have any other questions!
