I realize the $19.95 per VHS cassette to DVD conversion fee is up to 2 hour max. If an 8-hr VHS tape with 4 hours and 30 minutes of recorded time is sent in for processing, is that converted to 3 DVDs (4 VHS hours fills up 2 DVDs and the remaining 30 VHS minutes use 1 additional DVD), or is it converted to 4 DVDs (8-hr VHS tape independent of actual recording time, since recording time is not determined/detected)? Thanks.

Dave - If your tape is 4.5 hours, it would most likely be converted to 3 DVDs (the first two would contain 2 hours of footage and the 3rd the final 30 minutes). I only say most likely, because in certain situations we can put about 2 hrs and 15 minutes on a DVD, so it is possible that this tape would end up with only 2 DVDs, but it definitely would not be 4 DVDs. I hope this clears up your question. Thanks for your interest in ScanDigital and please let us know if you have other questions!
