Hi Wendy - with the hard drive option we would return your original video tapes along with a DVD for each video tape and a hard drive. On that hard drive there would be a series of files - one for each video tape. Then you would take those files and using a program on you computer (most computers have software that comes bundled with them to edit video these days), you would be able to edit the files to include all the clips of one child together. I should have clarified that we do automatically remove unused footage as part of our process, so you wouldn't need to edit that out...but with the hard drive you'd have the ability to manipulate the files in whatever segments you'd like and then create DVDs from the files after you've edited them.
