Q:

On the ScanDigital deal, can the files on the DVD be edeited by me, on my home PC?

sean  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Hi Sean - Which material format are you looking to digitize? All of our photography scans are provided as jpeg files and can be saved to your computer and edited like any other image file. Video and film footage is transferred to DVD, created to watch on your DVD player. If you want to edit your film or video footage, you'll need to select our hard drive option and we will provide you with video files on an external hard drive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post on these boards or email us. Happy Thanksgiving!

Victoria h.  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Hi Lisa - Yes, this is definitely a format we are able to transfer to DVD. VHS-C tapes are transferred to DVD at $19.95 each. We have the VHS adapters here as well, so don't worry about sending those in along with your tapes.

Q:

hello - i have about 2000 slides that i would like scanned to dvd. what would be the rate per slide to do this? please incorporate the groupon discount in the estimate. thank you, tim cronin

tlc3 c.  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Hi Tim - We charge $0.68 per 35mm slide so for a project of 2000 slides, it would cost $1360. If you purchased a $300 Groupon, your total cost would be $1175, saving you $185. The rate per slide would be $0.59.

Q:

Since many of our VHS tapes have a lot of footage that we don't want, after you have transferred to DVD, will we be able to edit the DVD at our end?

Sharon  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Hi Sharon - We create DVDs that can be viewed in your DVD player. If you'd like to edit your transferred footage, I'd recommend receiving your footage back on a hard drive in addition to a DVD. With our premium transfer, we can give you mpeg video files. With our expert transfer, we can give you avi video files.
