John F.  asked on  Feb 15, 2013

Hello John, you can use the Groupon credit to pay for shipping within the U.S. through our order form. However, shipping is not automatically included in the Groupon. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Q:

Can I use this coupon/promotion to transfer record VHS tapes of old television shows to DVD format, or is that some sort of copyright infringement? I would only use them for private use, not commercial. Hal R., Baltimore, MD

Harold J.  asked on  Feb 13, 2013

A:

Hello Harold, thank you very much for your interest on our Groupon. Unfortunately, we cannot transfer any copyrighted material you don't have the rights to. I apologize for any inconvenience. Feel free to email us if you have anymore questions. Support@scandigital.com

Q:

I have several video cassettes I want to transfer to DVD. I am in Baltimore MD. How do I physically deliver this to you and what is the turn around time when I can expect to have my final purchase complete?

Susan J.  asked on  Feb 13, 2013

A:

Hi Susan! You'll need to place your order online at https://www.scandigital.com/order-form.php using your Groupon. Once you place your order online you'll get instructions on how and where to ship your materials. The current turnaround time with video orders is about 3-4 weeks from the day your order is checked in. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Q:

Between my sister and myself, we have a ton of 8mm (5"?) or Super 8 reels from the 50-60's as well as several 3" reels from a camera in the 80's. We probably have way more than you offer even allows. My question is 2-fold. 1) If I purchase 3 groupons for me and 3 for her, can we use them all at the the same time—through just one of us—or do we need to make 2 entirely different orders out of it. 2) If we send in all that we have, will we get a call with an estimate for the reels above what the groupons will cover without obligation to convert the extra reels?

Terri M.  asked on  Feb 13, 2013

A:

Hello Terri, there is a limit of $300 worth of Groupon per customer. This means you would be able to use $300 worth and your sister would be able to use another $300 worth of Groupon through her own account with us. Please request an estimate under special instructions when placing your order online and we'll do our best to provide a rough estimate once your order arrives. Also, here is a link on our pricing and measuring your film if you'd like more information. http://www.scandigital.com/film-and-video-pricing.php

Q:

Does the $300 worth of service groupon have to be used all at once or can it be used over a few different purchases. I have some Super 8mm I would like to send in right away but I also have boxes of photos that I would like to go through and organize before sending them in. Thanks.

Brooks E.  asked on  Feb 11, 2013

A:

Hello Brooks! You do not have to use the full Groupon value all at once. If there is still credit on the Groupon once your order is complete, it will stay on the Groupon for future use. You will need to place a new order using the same code as you did the first time in order to redeem that credit. If you have anymore questions, please feel free to send us an email to support@ scandigital.com.

I have some heirloom (eg -- great grandparents) photos which are permanently fixed to rigid cardboard mounts. Is it possible to have these scanned? There is no way to separate the image physically.

A:

Hi Pat! We get those all the time and they are no problem at all. We can scan them right from the cardboard mounts. If you have anymore questions, please don't hesitate to send an email to support@scandigital.com

Q:

I have many 8mm reels that are over 45 years old. I would like to covert the reels and gift them to my family in Spain. Are the converted DVDs or media files compatible to view in Spain?

Sandra S.  asked on  Feb 10, 2013

A:

Sandra - Our DVDs are in a format which is what is typically used in the U.S. For viewing in Spain, I'd recommend that you opt for our hard drive option and obtain the digital files. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
