Q:

I have about 450 slides 40-45 years old. Once you put these on a DVD or CD can I add music to the DVD? Also what deal should I pick for the conversion of 450 slides?

danlong  asked on  Mar 2, 2013

A:

The $300 option would cover 450 slides, so that may be your best bet. We will put the images onto a data DVD so there would not be music on that disc. If you would like the slides set to music, then I'd recommend that you add our slideshow option to your order. That can also be covered by the groupon, is fully customized and can be added upon checkout for a cost of $120. I hope this helps and please let us know if you have any other questions.

Q:

What if the photos are currently in albums, do they need to be taken out before they are shipped to you? What do you charge for multiple copies of the DVD's? We have 4 siblings who would each want their own copy. Thanks, Sharon

Sharon B.  asked on  Feb 26, 2013

A:

Hello Sharon! You do not have to remove your photos from the albums. We will remove them one at a time, clean them, scan them and place them right back where we found them. However, it is $0.20 more per photo in album than loose photos. Here is a link with our prices if you would like more information. http://www.scandigital.com/photography-pricing.php

Q:

I am confused about the groupon offer. It mentions that for the $100 option for $40 you can scan 200 pictures but then goes on to say something about putting that toward a bulk package. If I purchase the $40 option, can I send you 200 photos? What if I send more than 200 photos, how is that charged? Can I send certificates, report cards and things like that as well to be scanned? If so, how is that charged? I am not clear about what the $115 option that is regularly $300 is for. Can that be used on one job and would that then allow me to send 600 photos and/or certificates etc. in for scanning and putting on a CD?

Nancy F.  asked on  Feb 26, 2013

A:

Hi Nancy! I apologize for any confusion. It is $0.48 per photo 8x10 or smaller at normal resolution. This means you can have 208 8x10 or smaller photos scanned at normal resolution for your $100 value. This includes any paperwork that is 8x10 or smaller as well. You're allowed to use the $100 Groupon option in combination with a My Life, Prepay and Save package of 1000 or more photos, 35mm slides, 35mm negatives or photos in albums. There $300 option cannot be combined with the bulk package, but you can use it to scan up to 625 photos at normal resolution at $0.48 each. Any photos over, will be scanned at the same prices. Here is a link with our pricing and bulk packages if you would like more information. http://www.scandigital.com/photography-pricing.php

Q:

I have one full 8" reel of approximately 1/2 inch film. Does this qualify for the $40 deal?

Diantha O.  asked on  Feb 26, 2013

A:

Hello Diantha, you can use the Groupon towards any of our services. This includes film transfers. We transfer 16mm film, 8mm, Super8 and Super8 with sound. Please feel free to email us at support@scandigital.com with any further questions.

Q:

I bought one of these a few months ago and used it. Can I buy another one and use it with a separate order?

Kelly T.  asked on  Feb 26, 2013

A:

Hello Kelly, it depends which Groupon you purchased. There is a limit of $300 worth of Groupon per customer. Hope this clears things up. Please feel free to let us know if you have anymore questions.
