Q:

Questions about digitizing 8mm and super 8 film: 1) Is it put on a CD or a DVD? 2) Is the digitized film editable by me in movie making software? 3)What format is it in (for example .mpg)?

Larry B.  asked on  Nov 24, 2012

A:

Larry - our standard process is to convert the film to DVD in a MPEG-2 format. These are not really editable. If you would like editable files, you can opt for our hard drive option which provides MP4 files (standard transfer) or AVI files (expert transfer level). I hope this helps. Thanks for your interest in our offer and please let us know if you have other questions. Happy Holidays!

Q:

Is this offer for the 300 dpi or 600 dpi scans? If for the 300 dpi, is there an additoinal cost to get the 600 dpi's? Thanks

Barbara B.  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Barbara - the offer provides a credit for a dollar amount that can be applied to either resolution option. The 600 dpi scans are $0.20 image more than the 300 dpi scans. Happy Thanksgiving and please let us know if you have any other questions!
