Q:

Does the deal include shipping from Canada or is that an additional charge

alex t.  asked on  Nov 24, 2012

A:

Alex - we will bill you for the return shipping. Our cost to ship to Canada is $25 and that should cover all duties/fees. You can apply your groupon credit towards this cost if you would like. Thanks for your interest in our offer and please let us know if you have other questions. Happy Holidays!

Q:

I'm looking at the c115 = $300 option. I have 6 video cassettes and a bunch of pictures. I'm not clear on how it would work with combining and how many photos that would allow me to scan if I send it 6 cassettes. Thank you,

Janice M.  asked on  Nov 24, 2012

A:

Janice - the 6 video tapes will take up about $120 of the $300 leaving $180 to be applied to your photos. The remaining $180 would cover about 360 photos. Thanks for your interest in our offer and please let us know if you have other questions. Happy Holidays!

Q:

Hi There, I have a 7 year old Sony video camera that uses those mini cd's. I cannot watch these on my laptop because of the format. Is it possible to convert these mini cd's into a DVD too? Also, because the content is so precious to me, is there some guarantee that they are not lost or ruined in your facility? Thank you

Jasmine  asked on  Nov 23, 2012

A:

Jasmine - Unfortunately we do not process the Sony mini DVDs/CDs at this time. Sorry we could not be of help on those. Thanks for your interest in ScanDigital and please let us know if you have other questions!

Q:

When I send my photographic materials to you, is the DVD that I receive the kind of thing that I can then download on to my computer if I need to make a photo presentation for an anniversary etc? Dalton

Dalton J.  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Dalton - yes, it is a data disc and you'll be able to pull the files. As a side note, we also offer a DVD slideshow service where we prepare a custom presentation for you. That can also be covered with your groupon voucher if you'd prefer to save yourself the time preparing it. Regardless though, the disc your receive will have the files ready for your computer. Thanks for your interest in ScanDigital and please let us know if you have other questions!

Q:

Hi, what happens if I buy a $300 credit groupon but don't submit $300 worth of work, will I have a credit on file? Also are we responsible for shipping costs to your facility? If so; What cost can we expect to ship 1000 photos from Toronto area to your facility? Thank you.

Stephanie M.  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Stephanie - If you do not utilize the full $300, you'll have a credit on file. You are responsible for shipping the materials to us from Canada. Our return shipping cost is ~$25 and we can apply the $300 to that cost. For the inbound shipping, I would imagine the cost may be the same through UPS or a bit less if you use the postal service. Happy Thanksgiving and please let us know if you have any other questions!

Q:

Can High 8 Camcorder tapes be converted to DVDs? How many hours of DVD will I get for the $115 (2nd choice)? Where do the tapes have to be brought to have this done? What is the turn-around time? Many thanks.

Pirkko V.  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Pirkko - yes, we can convert those High 8 tapes for you. The $300 groupon would cover 15 video cassettes. Our processing facility is located in Los Angeles and all video tape orders are shipped there for processing. The current turnaround time is about 3-4 weeks. Please let us know if you have any additional questions!

Anderson S.  from  Merchant  replied on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Yes, those can be converted to DVD's and $100 credit will get you about 5 videocassettes processed. Their average video turnaround time is 2-4 weeks. On top of this time, please add 1-5 days for shipping within the continental US. Expedited shipping options are always available to reduce this turnaround time. You can view their shipping/pick up information here.

Q:

if your order is of negatives, and the negatives aren't in a consecutive order, do you indicate which ones to scan? Or do they have to be in one row?

Karen C.  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Karen - as a standard practice we will just scan all of the negatives; however, if you would prefer for us to scan only a select group of images, then we will do that, but we charge an extra $0.20 per photo for the extra time involved in this process. For many customers who know they do not want all of their images scanned this is a great option and is certainly cheaper than scanning everything. I hope this helps and please let us know if you have other questions.

A:
