Q:

I have about 55 albums (250 pics per album) what would the cost be to convert to digital. Is there a way that I could add captions to the pictures or is this something you could do for me if I supplied the info.

Bill Y.  asked on  Nov 24, 2012

A:

Bill - this would be an exceptionally large order for us. Can you please contact us at info@scandigital.com to work out pricing based on your order size and needs? Please reference this post and my name. You can definitely add captions after the fact and given the size of your order we might be able to work with you to do this with the information you supply. Thanks for your interest and please let us know if you have additional questions!

Q:

I have approx 400 ft. of silent super 8 movie film (on a single reel) i would like to transfer to a dvd. Can I purchase the $40 Groupon to pay for having this done and how can I pay for any excess over the allowable limit?

Edward M.  asked on  Nov 23, 2012

A:

Edward - absolutely. The $100 voucher will cover about 300 feet of it and any excess we'll simply bill to a credit card for you. Thanks for you interest in our offer and please let us know if you have other questions. Happy Holidays!

Q:

I have a wedding VHS video with no sound...but also have an audio tape of the sound from the service...are you able to bring the two together, so I can provide my wife with a DVD of our wedding service that actually has sound?

Michael  asked on  Nov 23, 2012

A:

Michael - unfortunately we cannot pair up the audio and video, you would need to find a video editor for these services. We can convert the VHS to digital file so that you can provide the editor with a digital file though. Sorry we can't be more helpful on this. Thanks for you interest in our offer and please let us know if you have other questions. Happy Holidays!

Q:

Can you transfer 16mm silent movies to digital. These movies are probably 70+ years old and I no longer have a projector to view them.

Rick R.  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Hi Rick - Yes, we are definitely able to transfer 16mm films to DVD. You'll be able to enjoy your footage on any DVD player with friends and family! If you have any questions, please feel free to post on these boards or email us. Happy Thanksgiving!

Q:

I have 8mm film from the 50s and 60s... it has a grainy, salt-like deposit on it. Can you clean this off in order to digitize it? Also, can you edit out some scenes? (I only want frames with myself, my sister, or my parents in them, not the touristy stuff that's probably also included.)

Evelyn S.  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Hi Evelyn - We clean all film prior to transfer. When you send in your order, please include a note about the salt-like deposit so we can pay special attention to it. Unfortunately we are unable to edit the transferred video footage, but we can provide you with video files on a hard drive for you to edit if you select the hard drive option. If you have any questions, please feel free to post on these boards or email us. Happy Thanksgiving!
