Q:

What is the difference in having pictures and slides converted to CD or DVD?

Beth H.  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Beth - The only difference between a CD and DVD is the number of files the disc can hold. A DVD has capacity that is 5-6 times larger than a CD. Thanks for your interest in ScanDigital and please let us know if you have other questions!

Q:

I just wanted to check to see if what I read is what I understand the deal to be. For $100, which will cost only $40 on the Groupon Deal, I can send in 5 video cassetes to be turned over into a digital format. It doesn't matter the size of the cassete and since I can purchase 3 deals for myself then I can send in 15 cassettes and use the 3 coupons for this. Do I understand this correctly? Thank you!

Debbie A.  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Hi Debbie - You are correct. If you plan to purchase three $100 Groupons, you will save an extra $5 by purchasing the $300 option. Please be aware that we charge $19.95 per video tape of 2 hours or less. That means, if you have any tapes that are longer than 2 hours, this will affect the cost and total # of tapes you can transfer with the Groupon deal. If you have a tape that is 4 hours in length, it will be transferred to two DVD discs and be charged as two tape transfers. If you have any questions, please feel free to post on these boards or email us. Happy Thanksgiving!

Q:

Does this apply to Hi 8 tape also? I have 8-12 Hi 8 tapes do I need a lll three options? or how many tapes converted per Groupon?

Carol O.  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Hi Carol - Yes, you can use your Groupon credit for any of our digitization services including Hi8 tape transfers to DVD. We charge $19.95 per tape for any tape of 2 hours or less in length. If you plan to transfer 12 tapes, you can purchase our $300 option and have some extra Groupon credit to digitize other materials as well. You can transfer 5 video tapes with a $100 Groupon or 15 tapes with a $300 Groupon. If you have any questions, please feel free to post on these boards or email us. Happy Thanksgiving!
