Q:

Should they be sorted into specific occassions

Brenda D.  asked on  Nov 26, 2012

A:

Brenda - They do not need to be sorted, but if you do sort the images we will create folders labeled with your labels. For video tapes, the tapes are converted to DVD and each tape receives its own DVD...so no organization is needed with those. Thanks and let us know if you have any questions.

Q:

I noticed there was an extra charge for video cassettes over 2.5 hours in length. I know my Beta tapes are significantly longer than that. How many cassettes would be transferred under the $40 Groupon if each cassette was 4 hours long? Or how much extra would I need to pay (in addition to the $40) for 5 cassettes (4 hours each)?

Brit F.  asked on  Nov 21, 2012

A:

We bill the tapes in 2 hour increments - so a 4 hour tape essentially counts as 2 tapes. 5 cassettes at 4 hours each would essentially equate to 10 tapes. At our standard transfer this would be $199.50 plus shipping. With a $100 groupon, you'd need to cover the $99.50 plus shipping. We do allow multiple groupons to be applied to the same order. Alternatively, there is the $300 groupon option if you have other materials you'd like to send in. I hope this helps and let us know if you have other questions!

Q:

How many hours of VHS tapes can fit onto a DVD? And surely, sounds transfers, right?

Diane C.  asked on  Nov 21, 2012

A:

Hi Diane! Each tape will be transferred onto its own DVD. We can fit about 2 hours and 11 minutes of footage onto each DVD. Tapes longer than that will be on multiple discs. Yes, the sound will transfer as well.
