Q:

Does this offer also include reel film? I think that's the correct name. The film that comes in a reel from the old movie makers? If this includes that kind of old film, how many reels can I do with this offer?

Valerie B.  asked on  Nov 24, 2012

A:

Valerie - yes, this includes old reels fo film. The $100 option covers 300 feet of film and the $300 option covers 900 feet of film. The length of film is hard to estimate without knowing the type of reels you have, but for example a 3" reel has about 50 feet of film on it. Thanks for your interest and please let us know if you have additional questions!

Q:

We have unedited cassettes from an analog video camera. They each hold about 4-6hrs of video. Does the length matter and most importantly, am I able to edit the digitized versions?

Christine  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Hi Christine - Our DVDs can hold 2 hours of footage, so if your tapes are longer, they will be transferred to multiple DVD discs and charged as multiple tape transfers. For example, if your tape is 4 hours long, it will be transferred to 2 discs and be charged as 2 video transfers - $19.95 twice. Our DVDs are created to watch in your DVD player so if you want to edit your digitized footage, I recommend our hard drive transfer. In addition to your DVDs, we can provide you with video files on an external hard drive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post on these boards or email us. Happy Thanksgiving!
