Q:

I have 500 or 600 slides that need to be scanned. Can I purchase the $115 Groupon (for $300 worth of service) and use just that if my order comes in at/under $300? The language makes it sound like I might have pay for other services along with the Groupon and I just want to make sure I would not have to. Thanks.

A:

David - The $300 option will cover about 450 slides. If you send more slides for processing that is okay, but you would pay for the overage amount. If you do not want to hassle with counting the slides, you an make a note in the special comment section of our order form to not go over the groupon amount and we'll make sure we only process the amount under the groupon. Q:

I think I want to get this for my mother for the holidays. A few can they just go in the envelope completely unsorted? Is there tracking on the envelope mailing the stuff to you and mailing the stuff back. I know she will worry about putting such prized possessions in a mailbox without any way to know it isn't lost, but she'd also really like them out of the bottom of the dresser where no one ever sees them. Have you had "lost in the mail" problems?

Cordelia W.  asked on  Nov 22, 2012

A:

Cordelia - We will accept the materials in whatever format is easiest for you (or your mother) - so if they're unsorted that is not a problem at all. We would recommend that you use the UPS Ground option from our website which will allow the package to be full trackable. We also highly recommend you send the materials in a sturdy box, not in an envelope. We've very rarely had something lost in the mail and every time the customer sent it in a manner that was not trackable and in an envelope. If you avoid those two things the shipping process is highly, highly secure. Thanks for your interest in ScanDigital and please let us know if you have other questions!
