Janet M.  asked on  Mar 15, 2013

A:

Janet - Welcome to ScanMyPhotos.com, we're glad you found us. In order to 100% guarantee that your order is scanned in the specific order you send them in you will have to order the " Scan in Order " service. The additional cost for this service is $14.00 per Groupon for the 500 deal and $24.00 per Groupon for the 1000 deal. All photos must be removed from photo albums or envelopes and organized as detailed in the "Photo-preparation procedure applies" link in the The Fine Print found on the deal page or at the top of this message board.

Q:

I was married in 1954 and the rage back then was to have wedding pictures taken in 3D slides. If you are not familiar with that technique (I don't think they do it anymore), each slide actually has two images side by each. One must look through a viewer to get the 3D effect and I must say the photos are beautiful and lifelike! Can you transfer an image from this dual slide to a DVD?

Anthony B.  asked on  Mar 13, 2013

A:

Anthony - Welcome to ScanMyPhotos.com, we're glad you found us. This deal is only for our 4x6 photo scanning services. Unfortunately this is not a service that we offer. We can only scan standard 35mm slides. For complete details, please visit http://www.scanmyphotos.com/slidescanning.html . Pricing varies based on requested resolution.

Q:

Oh, I forgot a question. I also have many old professional pictures, like baby pictures of my daughters who are now in their 30s. Can these been included. I know there are copyright laws for some photos, but I'm not sure how long they are in effect. I don't even think the photographer of some is still in business.

Marjorie I.  asked on  Mar 10, 2013

A:

Marjorie - Unfortunately we do not scan any photos that are copyright protected without the copyright release form from the photographer.

Q:

Do I have to mail the photos? And if so, how do I insure that they are not lost in the mail?

Robin b.  asked on  Mar 8, 2013

A:

Robin - Welcome to ScanMyPhotos.com, we're glad you found us. You'll need to ship your photos directly to our Irvine CA location. Your purchased Groupon voucher will also include additional instructions for redeeming this offer. For packing and shipping instructions, click here! http://www.scanmyphotos.com/g2/packing-instructions.html . ScanMyPhotos.com, founded back in 1990 is a leader in the photo imaging industry and professionally scans tens of millions of photos. You may use any shipping company you that are most comfortable with. However, we cannot warrantee or guarantee courier deliveries. You can send via signature confirmation and other specialty services and we do digitally archive and backup your entire order for 15-days as an added precaution. That said, the real problem is if you don’t have your pictures digitized, as then they do risk getting tucked away at home and misplaced, inadvertently thrown away, faded or lost due to fire, flood, etc. so either way there is a risk involved. If you don't use us, we HIGHLY recommend digitizing and backing up your photos ASAP.
