Q:

I just want to make sure I understand the answer to the 600dpi option. It would be $48.99 for 500 photos? Does the difference in the two (300 dpi vs 600 dpi) mainly become apparent when trying to enlarge the photos?

Lisa V.  asked on  Mar 6, 2013

A:

Lisa - Once you place your groupon order you can upgrade to 600dpi. The 600dpi upgrade is $24.00 per groupon when ordering the 500 groupon deal or $29.00 per groupon when ordering the 1000 groupon deal. First, purchase the Groupon deal today. Then, when submitting your photos to us for scanning, select the option 600dpi scanning on the order form. Q:

OK. So if I purchased the 500 groupon deal (24.99) and i had 250 4x6 pics and 250 3x3 pics. what would the additional fee be for that? And if that is allowable, then could you break up the 500 deal as much as you want AS LONG AS YOU INCLUDE the additonal fee? thanks for your help.

Alex A.  asked on  Mar 5, 2013

A:

If you order the 500 Groupon deal the cost to include different size photos is $14.00 per Groupon. We do not allow you to send multiple shipments for the same Groupon. If you purchase 1 Groupon you will have to send your 500 photos all at once. However if you buy multiple Groupon you can send them in at different times as long as it is before the expiration date to redeem the full value of the Groupon.

Q:

How safe are my photo's??? What if they're lost in the mail???

Sharon R.  asked on  Mar 5, 2013

A:

Sharon - ScanMyPhotos.com, founded back in 1990 is a leader in the photo imaging industry and professionally scans tens of millions of photos. You may use any shipping company you that are most comfortable with. However, we cannot warrantee or guarantee courier deliveries. You can send via signature confirmation and other specialty services and we do digitally archive and backup your entire order for 15-days as an added precaution. That said, the real problem is if you don’t have your pictures digitized, as then they do risk getting tucked away at home and misplaced, inadvertently thrown away, faded or lost due to fire, flood, etc. so either way there is a risk involved. If you don't use us, we HIGHLY recommend digitizing and backing up your photos ASAP.
