More Questions and Answers

Q:

I have quite a few (perhaps 50-100) color photos from many years ago. The color is a bit to a lot faded. Can you change these to b & w photos? Can they be included in my box of 500 or 1000, which will be delineated by size. What's the charge per photo or are there any reduced rates for this situation?

Cathy C.  asked on  Mar 7, 2013

A:

Cathy - Welcome to ScanMyPhotos.com, we're glad you found us. We scan all photos that are sent to us as is. We do not offer to change color photos to black and white. This can be done by you once you copy your photos to your hard drive.

I have the same problem as above with old photos of my grandparents, how much more is it to do the smaller sizes from earlier 1900's? I need to know before I decide if I can fit this into my budget. Thank you.

Stacy C.  asked on  Mar 6, 2013

A:

Stacy - The cost to upgrade your order that includes different sizes is $14.00 per Groupon for the 500 deal and $20.00 per Groupon for the 1000 deal.

Q:

I have a personal HP printer/scanner that I have used in the past to scan in a few of my old photos to be saved to IPhoto. How does this compare to the scanning you would provide? Would the clarity/quality be better or is it just that you could do a higher quantity of photos?

RE  asked on  Mar 5, 2013

A:

For samples of both 300dpi and 600dpi scans please click here. http://www.scanmyphotos.com/samplescans.html

Q:

I don't understand the limits of this deal. "Limit 4 per person" sounds like I could buy 4 Groupons for personal use. ...... "Limit 1 per order." Limit one what? Under the 4 per person could I purchase 4 Groupons and submit all 4 with 4000 pictures in one order? Or does each quantity (500 or 1000) have to be shipped separately?

Cathy C.  asked on  Mar 4, 2013

A:

I apologize for the confusion. The correct one is "Limit 4 per person" and you may buy 2 as gifts. You can send all 4 Groupons at the same time. Just note that if they are sent in together, all of your photos will be scanned onto 1 DVD.
