Q:

Hi! I have a two-part question: Will I be able to make additional copies of this DVD or is it formatted to prevent copying? If that's the case, what is the cost for additional DVD's? Thanks! Katie

Katie Q.  asked on  Mar 7, 2013

A:

Katie - Welcome to ScanMyPhotos.com, we're glad you found us. Yes, you can both make copies of the DVD and prints from the DVD. The images are standard JPEG files which are almost universal in their acceptance for printing. You can also order additional copies of the DVD data disc and the price varies from $4.98 to $9.98 depending on the quantity ordered.

Q:

Is it possible to take photos off of the DVD and put them onto a laptop to be printed off later or can we only watch the DVD? Not sure this question even makes sense - I'm so not a techie! Thanks!

Wendy J.  asked on  Mar 6, 2013

A:

Wendy - Welcome to ScanMyPhotos.com, we're glad you found us. Yes, once you have the DVD data disc you can download the photos to your computer and edit the files. You can also use the DVD at your local print shop to make duplicate prints.

Is it possible to pay extra for 600dpi scanning?

Patrick R.  asked on  Mar 5, 2013

Q:

Is there a fine dust removal done before the photos are scanned? (besides fanning them myself before I mail them?)

Tearsa G.  asked on  Mar 5, 2013

A:

Tearsa - We would simply fan through the photos when the technician is in process of scanning your order.

Q:

If the photos are in albums, would I send them albums or just remove them all from the albums and send them? Also, do you have any offers that include slides being converted to files on a dvd?

Margaret D.  asked on  Mar 5, 2013

A:

Margaret - All photos must be removed from photo albums and organized as detailed in the "Photo-preparation procedure applies" link in the The Fine Print found on the deal page or at the top of this message board. While this super discounted Groupon deal is only for scanning 4x6" photos to DVD, we also feature professional and delicate hand scanning of 35mm slides as low as 27¢ per slide. For complete details, please visit http://www.scanmyphotos.com/slidescanning.html . Pricing varies based on requested resolution.
