Q:

How far along does my wife have to be for you to determine the gender? She's at 14 weeks right now.

Tony N.  asked on  Jan 31, 2013

A:

Hi Tony. Under the right conditions, (good fetal position, more slender patient) I can sex the baby after 13 weeks. The Groupon special does not include sex determination prior to 18 weeks. If you would like to use the Groupon for early sex determination, you would need to pay a suplimetal $50.00 to me at the time of the exam. You still save $61.00 over the retail price. I hope to see you and your wife. Thanks for the letter.

Q:

Can you briefly explain to me the difference between this and a regular ultrasound where they tell you the gender and check everythign else? Also, does insurance ever cover all of it?

Mariam A.  asked on  Jan 31, 2013

A:

Thanks for your letter. The diagnostic portion is much like what is done after 16 weeks. This includes the measurements and anatomy check. Even after a normal ultrasound, problems like abnormal growth or abnormal anatomy developement can ocurr. It is good to check everytime. in addition, this offer includes the 4D imaging with 3D pictures and video. As for the insurance, a doctor would need to order the scan for medical reasons. I do not do insurance bill. (big pain!) I hope this answers your questions. Feel free to call me: 408-356-0004. Lance

Q:

Hi Lance, Can you explain the deal of $185 for two 4-D sonograms with diagnostic assessments versus $89 for one 4-D sonogram? Does the two 4-D sonograms mean I could come in two different times? Vee

Vee V.  asked on  Feb 1, 2013

A:

Hi Vee. Yes. This deal is for two scans, either two for you at two points of your pregnancy, or to share with a friend. I hope to see you. Lance

Q:

What does the $89 package include (specifically)? Do we have to pay an additional $20 if 5 or more people attend to the ultrasound? How far in advance is it recomended to book an appointment for a group of 5 or more?

Esmeralda F.  asked on  Feb 1, 2013

A:

As noted on the deal page, it includes a sonogram and diagnostic assessment. The diagnostic assessment includes gender determination as well as a fetal size, weight, and anatomy check and a formal report to your doctor or midwife. Yes, there would be an additional $20 fee for groups of 5 or more. I would suggest contacting them directly for their booking recommendations.

Q:

I'm 31.5 weeks pregnant right now. Can I still do the 4D ultrasound?

Pojen S.  asked on  Feb 2, 2013

A:

This is a great time to do a 3 D ultrasound. The goal is to see the baby as mature as possible before the space gets to crowded. I like to do the scans prior to 34 weeks for this reason. We can get great pictures later, but they are less likely obtained due to the lack of space. Lance

Q:

Do we need to get a doctors order for this test? Are you the one who reads the test for obstetrics doctor? Thank you!

Darlene De B.  asked on  Feb 2, 2013

A:

Many of the people whom see me are for self referral scans. This is viewed as a non-prescribed exam. As an RDMS certified technologist, I cannot legally "read" the sonogram, but I can flag and document findings that are a concern. It is up to the physician to act on any findings.

Q:

How many B@W and color pictures will I ge after the session?

Svetlana M.  asked on  Feb 2, 2013

A:

The number is variable. If I give you a number, I need to tax you for each picture per the State of California. I will say that it is common to get 15 to 20 Black and white images printed, and 5 or 6 large color prints. A greater number of pictures will be on a CD for you to reproduce or E Mail to friends and family.

Q:

Instead of getting a sonogram of a pregant woman, could one get a sonogram of one my kidneys?

JJJJ Sam 99 D.  asked on  Feb 5, 2013

A:

Hi JJJ Sam. Yes I can image your kidneys if there is a physician that I can forward my report to. It is important to have a doctor "in the loop" to act on any of my findings since I cannot by law act or make recommendations or treatment plans based on my findings. Please feel free to call me at 408-356-0004 if you are interrested. We can offer you a discounted scan since you found me on Groupon.
