Earth, an alluring enigma, is balanced in the void of space upon two poles over which it sensuously spins and ineffably shimmies. Harness the power of your polarity with today’s Groupon: for $29, you get a three-class pole-fitness package at Scandalesque in Scottsdale and Phoenix (a $59 total value). The package includes the following:
- One drop-in pole-dance-fitness class (a $25 value)
- Two drop-in dance and fitness classes (a $17 value each)<p>
Pole Dance fitness classes are scheduled at the Phoenix studio every Saturday at noon; all other drop-in classes are scheduled Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Check out the complete class schedule for more information.
A burlesque revue whose saucy moves have attracted the attention of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Orange County, Scandalesque invites aspiring dancers of all skill levels to learn alluring dances and get fit under the tutelage of professional hip-swivelers. All levels are welcome to the weekly pole-dance-fitness classes, where competitive dancer Ember Soleil teaches techniques, tricks, transitions, and how to imbue the simplest pole twirl or pole vault with confident sensuality. Other drop-in classes range from burlesque basics to intermediate-level sultry gazes and toning workouts with a sexy edge. Burlesque Jazz Dance blends classic moves with the art of the tease, while Sexy Body’s dance-conditioning class works out glutes and guns in order to tone muscles for powering through intense choreography or unexpected patches of dance-floor quicksand.
PS Alternative Dance & Fitness
Like the opposite of eyelids, the curtains at PS Alternative Dance & Fitness open to a dream world of garish costumes, pyrotechnics, circus arts, and sensuality. This nexus of fantasy and real life is produced in-house and performed by PS Alternative Dance & Fitness’s troupe of professional burlesque artists. Leading them, cofounders Lady Fontayne and Pyrrha Sutra, as they're known on stage, strive to curate an atmosphere where outlandishness flashes atop proper technique and artistry. When the troupe isn’t pushing the envelope and toppling mailmen, they’re teaching burlesque, adult-dance, and fitness classes throughout the week.
