What You'll Get
Before radio, music was broadcast via Morse code, which turned everything into treble-heavy dance music punctuated by demands to STOP. Limber up for more graceful dance moves with today’s Groupon to Scandalesque. Choose between the following options:
- For $27, you get a punch card valid for four drop-in burlesque classes (a $55 value).
- For $50, you get a punch card valid for eight drop-in burlesque classes (a $100 value).
Though subject to change, all drop-in classes are held at Scandalesque's Al Moro Studio location, with classes on Monday and Wednesday at 7 p.m. and on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Scandalesque, a burlesque revue whose saucy moves have attracted the attention of Fox 10 News and Bravo's The Real Housewives of Orange County, invites aspiring dancers of all skill levels to learn alluring dances and get fit under the tutelage of its professional hip-swivelers. Drop-in classes, led by the theater's resident dancers, range from burlesque basics to intermediate-level sultry gazes and aerobic workouts with a sexy edge. Monday's Burlesque Dance Class focuses on proper form and footwork, incorporating props to build students' confidence and explore their theatrical prowess. Participants should bring their own feather boa, gloves, and welder's goggles. Wednesday's dance-conditioning class, meanwhile, works out glutes and guns, and Saturday's Burlesque Jazz Dance class helps to shape bodies while focusing on burlesque's unique, tantalizing style, exploring the timeless arts of playful teasing and playground comebacks.

About PS Alternative Dance & Fitness
Like the opposite of eyelids, the curtains at PS Alternative Dance & Fitness open to a dream world of garish costumes, pyrotechnics, circus arts, and sensuality. This nexus of fantasy and real life is produced in-house and performed by PS Alternative Dance & Fitness’s troupe of professional burlesque artists. Leading them, cofounders Lady Fontayne and Pyrrha Sutra, as they're known on stage, strive to curate an atmosphere where outlandishness flashes atop proper technique and artistry. When the troupe isn’t pushing the envelope and toppling mailmen, they’re teaching burlesque, adult-dance, and fitness classes throughout the week.
