Q:

how about scanning color negatives and transfering them to digital photos?

Shauna K.  asked on  Nov 10, 2012

A:

Hi Shauna. Negative scanning is available at several different levels of resolution starting at 3000 DPI. Once they are digital, you can view and save them as high quality JPEG images just as easily as if you took them with a digital camera. Although negative scanning is not included in the Groupon, our rates are very affordable.

Q:

Are the transfers done at the Lafayette store or mailed off?

Jason W.  asked on  Nov 10, 2012

A:

Your media will stay within the hands of our trusted staff at each store location. On the rare occasion that we do require the use of another store's equipment, all media is hand delivered directly by one of us and carefully monitored during the process.

Q:

Hi, I have three questions... 1) Can I use the $49 Groupon for slides instead of photos, or a mix of both? 2) What is the scan resolution? 3) Is there a choice of DVD quality? Thanks.

Debbie B.  asked on  Nov 9, 2012

A:

The $49 Groupon covers loose photos up to 8x10". 8x10" and larger photos require an additional handling fee. Our 600 DPI photo scanning system provides excellent quality JPEG images that will allow you to save and share easily. While slides are not included in the Groupon, our 4000 DPI slide scanning service produces dynamic, high-resolution JPEGs at competitive cost starting at $0.39. Our color correction service can enhance faded and discolored slides for a small additional fee. For storage, we use high-quality silver DVDs; however, we also offer gold archival DVDs to ensure an even longer life.
