Having a partner turns bouncing a ball into a tennis match, a monologue into a conversation, and a bear attack into a slightly longer bear attack. Experience the power of pairing with today’s Groupon: for $25, you get an ultimate wine tasting for two with souvenir wineglasses (a $19.90 value), admission to a Friday Night at the Winery dance night (a $16 value) and a $15 winery credit at Schnebly Redland’s Winery in Homestead (a $50.90 total value).

The oenophiles at Schnebly Redland’s Winery craft eccentric wines made from mangos, avocados, and other nongrape fruits, helping the bottling establishment garner a Best Winery award from the Miami New Times. Grapes go green with envy as five of their rivals are sipped in their stead amid a coral water fountain, tiki huts, and lush tropical plants. Sample the guavino, a medley of orange blossom, honeysuckle, and Meyer lemon ($18.95 / bottle), or the sweet avocado ($14.95 / bottle) with a citrus-laden nose akin to a bloodhound while he's hunting an orange in a forest of lemon trees. Souvenir glasses are designed to capture the full body and aroma of the wines, such as the lychee, which orchestrates notes of honey, citrus pear, and lychee in a flavor symphony comparable to a riesling ($18.95 / bottle).

After the tasting, select a favorite wine to accompany guests to the Friday Night at the Winery party, a live music and dancing extravaganza. Past entertainment includes Bryan Gonzalez’s mix of Latin rhythms and pop music, the Big City Band, and bluegrass groups distinguished by their danceable songs and innovatively landscaped lawns. Most concerts start at 6 p.m., and guests can bring a picnic dinner to fuel up for a night of cutting tiki rugs.

Schnebly Winery & Miami Brewing Company

Though they had long been interested in starting an agro-tourism business on their 30-acre farm, Peter and Dennise Schnebly might never have considered a winery were it not for a fortuitous visit from Bill Wagner of Wagner Winery in Lodi, New York. During his stay, Wagner took a look around at the farm's exotic fruits and vegetables and planted an idea in the couples' imaginations: why not draw upon their harvest to create exotic wines? The idea took root, and the couple soon began to experiment in their garage, crafting wines with the help of their friends while sticking to their shared belief in sustainable practices. Five years later, these eccentric wines—infused with mangoes, avocados, and other nongrape fruits—helped their newly opened winery garner a 2008 Best Winery award from the Miami New Times.

Many of the winery's varietals have gone on to win accolades since then, and tours and tastings allow visitors to join in the celebration and gain insights to the process of winemaking in a tropical environment complete with a coral water fountain, tiki huts, and lush plants. Table wines include Guava, a rose wine, balanced with integrated aromas of plum, black berry, blue berry and exotic herbs. Wines pour freely during weekend events that feature live concerts and karaoke. Past entertainment included Bryan Gonzalez, TreeHause Band, La Linea, and bluegrass groups distinguished by their danceable songs and innovatively landscaped lawns.

While their main focus has always been wine, the Schneblys have branched out to craft brews and culinary experimentation. In 2011, they opened Miami Brewing Company, the first commercial brewery in Miami. They take their inspiration from Miami flavors, incorporating different fruits and spices in their beers. In late 2014, the team started The Redlander Restaurant at Schnebly Winery, which offers farm-to-table dining for lunch, dinner, and events focusing on local ingredients and fresh flavors.

The overall experience was amazing. I purchased the Friday Groupon because they have karaoke those nights. I went with my parents & my aunt & uncle & they loved the atmosphere too. The wine was amazing & the brewery was great also! The grilled food at the brewery was a perfect combo. & enjoying the live performance from the karaoke was funny and a great time for all of us to sing together.
