Q:

I have two questions and if possible would like to purchase a couple of your groupons. Will this work for a double chin? Will this work for the pain of scoliosis? Theresa W

Theresa W.  asked on  Aug 27, 2012

A:

.Generally, scoliosis is a non-painful condition. Usually it is complications from the scoliosis such as degenerative disc disease, nerve compression etc that cause the pain. Saying that, acupuncture is very effective in dealing with most kinds of pain. Conditions related to excessive weight respond better to a weight loss program. We do offer acupuncture for weight loss which is highly effective but a different program from facial rejuvenation treatments

Q:

I too have "sagging" , if this procedure works, how long will the results last?

Linda R.  asked on  Aug 26, 2012

A:

The series of treatments done weekly generally last three or more months. Some last a little longer. Lifestyle and genetic factors account for most differences.

Q:

Am I required to get 10 treatments even though the groupon is for 4 or 8 treatments? How much the 4 or 8 treatments be scheduled to see maximum benefits?

Barbara M.  asked on  Aug 22, 2012

A:

There is no requirement to pay for anymore sessions than your Groupon allows. You can, of course, elect to become a patient at our traditional service rates if you like the response you get. Each patient is unique and will differ in suggested frequency of treatments. We will cover that in your initial consult. The amount of benefit you see will vary from individual to individual. Normally you'll see an initial change immediately after the treatment with increased changes due to cumulative effect. We will cover the ins and outs during your first visit.

Q:

Is there a place I can find out more information on acupuncture?

Michelle B.  asked on  Aug 22, 2012

A:

You can visit our website at www.acupuncturetoledo.com where we have a great deal of information on a wide variety of disorders treatable by acupuncture, herbal medicine, chiropractic etc. When performing facial rejuvenation treatments we may use facial acupuncture needles, laser stimulation, microcurrent stim or some combination depending on the circumstances. In extreme cases of fluid under eyes, collapsed collagen we may use a cupping technique (a form of Chinese massage) to assist in fluid removal.

We do a consultation as part of the first visit.
