be specific about the ages it would likely appeal to. while i enjoyed it, my children (ages 5 and 8) were slightly bored. they loved the interactive screen with the HiRISE image quiz and the globe at the entrance, but otherwise they weren't into reading all of the fact filled signs. I LOVED IT. they weren't as jazzed.

Science Downtown devotes its earthbound facility to the study of otherworldly matters, aiming to become a permanent exhibit hall and educational hotspot for science-related subjects. Developed by the University of Arizona’s College of Science, Science Downtown’s current exhibit, Mars and Beyond, launches visitors into a high-tech exploration of the red planet that includes stunning images. Multiple theaters and interactive attractions pour stunning views of the solar system into star-struck eyes, and scaled-to-size NASA models, spacecraft samples, and replicas of the Phoenix Mars lander provide tangible examples of the sheer size of celestial equipment. Also on display will be meteorites, a T-Rex skull, and a scaled model of the University of Arizona’s own HiRISE high-resolution orbiting camera, used by paparazzi astronauts to chronicle the budding romance between the earth and moon.
