Q:

I have a FSA that I was going to use towards Lasik. I only have a portion of the cost left. Would I pay for this upfront and then get reimbursed? How do I use my FSA towards this groupon?

Hillary H.  asked on  Oct 25, 2012

A:

Groupon does not accept insurance. You would have to contact your insurance company and make a claim after it is purchased.

Q:

Hi, I have two questions. First question--I wore the same prescription for several years with no vision complaints and went to the eye doctor for a check up this last May 2012. He told me I was wearing too strong of a prescription. Essentially my prescription changed/was reduced in both eyes. From what I've read this is a counter-indication to the procedure. Would I be turned away as a candidate immediately due to this or do I have to wait until May to come in? Second question--in addition to the Groupon voucher, what charges or costs can we expect with the procedure?

Erin H.  asked on  Oct 19, 2012

A:

Hello Erin, There are several factors in knowing if you are a candidate. There are too many variables in the questions you are asking. Could you please call our office and I will go over these questions. The Groupon covers all pre and post visits with your Surgeon for up to one year after the procedure. The only additional fees would be for the cost of your eye drops which insurance usually covers.

Q:

Good Morning, Could my insurance (EyeMed) also apply on top of this Groupon or not? I'm not sure how much my insurance would cover, so I would do which ever one is a better deal (the Groupon or Insurance). sommer.margaret@gmail.com 262-770-2302 Thank you! Maggie

Margaret S.  asked on  Oct 19, 2012

A:

Hi Maggie, Usually insurance does not cover the Lasik Procedure. Occasionally they offer you a discount or reimburse you a portion of your fees. Because each insurance policy is different please contact them directly to see which would be less expensive for you.

Q:

If I opt(no pun intended)for the 2 eye groupon, are both eyes done in the same appointment?

Heather P.  asked on  Oct 19, 2012

A:

Yes if you are a candidate for both eyes we can do both eyes at the same time.
