Scribd is an odd collection of current and older books, magazines, and "documents," which are literally anything members upload to the site. I've found it valuable for hard to find craft and hobby books and the occasional technical book. It's definitely worth the money for me, although you should check that the range of content matches your needs.

Would have been nice to know that 'free' means $1. I have no problem paying $1. Only been on a few days now but it is definitely paying for itself. Easy to navigate and search. So much more than books! I think I found a new love.

It is an amazing service where you can read a book on your phone or other electronic device. This is so much better than just listening to it...

I was really excited when this came up but they changed their membership and it isn't as good as it used to be. Rather than having unlimited access to books you get X amount of credits per time frame to use on books. Some books are still unlimited but it doesn't seem like the majority are. Seems like Kindle unlimited is a better option for about the same amoupnt of money.

I'm very pleased with this Scribd experience. They offer so much variety. I have access to so many more books, both audio and ebooks, I'm never without something to read! I just wish it worked on my Kindle, but that's not a deal breaker.

Not much of a selection for my subscription. I used a groupon and i'm not sure if that is the reason for the really limited selections. You can either get a book by audio or written...NOT your choice. They make the choice for you
