After completing the online e-training course to learn the basic rules of diving at their own pace, students in the open-water scuba-diving course meet for class at an indoor pool, where certified instructors illuminate participants on skills, safety, and equipment before groups splash into the water. To complete the open-water certification, four open-water dives with an instructor can be done locally or on a Scuba Network group trip (not included with this Groupon).
Participants must be in good health with no history of heart conditions, epilepsy, ear disorders, asthma, or respiratory conditions and must not be actively taking any medications which restrict participation in physical activities or cause lack of judgement. Participants must complete and sign a medical history form, a general liability release and express assumption of risk waiver and an agreement of services form prior to participation. Online academic program must be completed before pool sessions can be scheduled.<p>
