Are there any additional fees for the course or dives; ie charter boat expense, surcharges, etc?

Clayton J.  asked on  Mar 5, 2013

The only other additional charges, other than travel to and from training locations, is $10 diver donation to the Kids Camp that allows us to use their property to access Lake Denton and the customary $10 "Tip" for the charter boat crew who will load and unload your tanks and equipment, help you on and off the boat and guide our dives.

I see from your website that you have a location in Venice. Does this Groupon apply to the Venice location as well?

Clayton J.  asked on  Mar 4, 2013

That location is independently owned. the Groupon is good at Sarasota, Brandon, and Bradenton.

How long does this take to complete & where are the 5 open water classes held? Are there any courses that don't have open water classes or that the open water is fresh?

S. A.  asked on  Mar 3, 2013

Thank you for your question. Our NAUI Basic Scuba Diver Certification Course is completed over a period of 2 weekends in a row or 4 days in a row if you choose a weekday class. The first three certification dives are held at either a lake or a spring and the final two dives are in the ocean. All of our basic scuba classes go to the ocean for their final 2 dives as long as weather permits.
