Scuba diving is the only way left to find hidden treasure, befriend a nautical skeleton, or strap a huge tank to yourself. Explore the possibilities with today's Groupon: for $169, you get a scuba certification class (a $350 value) at Scuba Quest. This Groupon is only valid for classes at Scuba Quest's Bradenton, Brandon, Sarasota, or Venice locations.
For more than two decades, Scuba Quest has helped people breathe and thrive during underwater expeditions. The certification course, which is limited to eight students per instructor, includes both classroom instruction and pool sessions, allowing scuba pupils to hop into the calming waters of a pool and soak their limbs in its aqueous energy. Led by NAUI-certified instructors, diving disciples gradually build the chutzpah required to swim with the stingrays and flap their dorsal fins during the course's three open-water beach dives and two open-water boat dives. Students of scuba receive a textbook, workbook, record folder, dive tables, logbook, certification registration, and a Scuba Diver Certification card for impressing landlubber friends. Although tanks, a buoyancy compensator, and a regulator with octopus and gauges are provided, participants should bring their own mask, snorkel, fins, weight belt, and weights. Check out the schedule at the location of your choice for class times.
Imagine for a moment diving into the ocean, resurfacing with not only memories of the sub-aquatic environment, but a full reel of photographs, too. Underwater photography is just one of the many courses offered at Scuba Quest, a family-owned company that has shown students how to safely explore the seas for more than 25 years.
Scuba Quest began as a single shop, but has since spread to six locations across the state of Florida. At each, the company’s NAUI-certified instructors lead refresher courses, beginner classes, and comprehensive certification programs. Rather than climbing into fish tanks while pet-store clerks are on break, Scuba Quest's students can put their new skills to the test in unfamiliar waters during the company’s exotic diving excursions around the globe.
