- Very dark skin tones (Fitzpatrick V–VI) unless treated by an experienced provider
- Active skin infections, severe acne, eczema, or psoriasis in the treatment area
- Recent isotretinoin (Accutane) use within the last 6–12 months
- History of keloids or hypertrophic scarring
- Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals
- Those with recent tanning or excessive sun exposure
- Uncontrolled medical conditions affecting wound healing
Before & After Care
- Avoid sun exposure & tanning for 2–4 weeks prior
- Stop retinoids, exfoliants, and harsh scrubs 5–7 days before
- Notify your provider if you have a history of cold sores
- Stay hydrated and follow any pre-op instructions from your provider
After Your Treatment:
- Expect redness, swelling, and mild peeling for 5–7 days
- Keep skin clean and moisturized with recommended products
- Avoid sun exposure and use broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily
- Skip makeup, hot showers, saunas, and workouts for 24–48 hours
- Do not pick or scratch flaking skin — allow it to shed naturally
