Each 45-miniute class uses high-intensity interval-training techniques to build strength and burn fat. Workouts may include strength training, resistance training, sprints, or plyometrics, along with obstacle-course elements such as heavy ropes, tractor tires, and agility crawls. SD Obstacle Race Camp
At the average big box gym, trainers typically frown on tossing weights across the room or heaving sharpened spears at a target. But at SD Obstacle Race Camp, such activities are part of a typical Sunday. Leading sessions throughout the week, certified personal trainer Sarah Dubois combines HIIT techniques and elements from adventure races to tone and transform her pupils’ bodies. Each 45-minute outdoor workout helps students get in shape for an upcoming 5K, marathon, or mud run with a fast-paced training scheme that includes flipping tires, hauling sandbags, and crawling under trip wires.
